Hi, this is Theresa Stowell. I work in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology. For the past year and a half I have held the title of Instructional Support Specialist. I coordinate first year medical courses and the anatomy thread. Prior to that, I worked for about a year and a half as a Lab Tech for Chris Turner in the same department.
Prior to moving to the Syracuse area, I was a classroom teacher in Brooklyn and Long Island. I served as chapter leader for my school in Flatbush and know the value of a strong union that works collaboratively with organizational leadership.
I heard that we are underrepresented and thought I would step up to serve. I look forward to the opportunity to learn more, help my colleagues stay connected, and help find solutions to challenges we all face.
